UPDATE 10/05/15: Yay, Trees! All of our trees have been adopted! We are very much in need of some planters, though. If you are interested in volunteering, please email Lauren at l.hermley@beaufortnc.org. We need volunteers for two, 2-hour shifts per day, one morning and one afternoon, Oct. 19-23.

09/30/15: During the third week of October, the Town is planting 30 trees on public property as part of Oak-toberfest.

Twenty of these trees are up for adoption. For $50, citizens can pick a spot on public property for the tree to be planted.

Some citizens are opting for the public right of way in front of their homes.

Volunteers are needed to help with the planting and there will be a celebratory picnic on the afternoon of Friday, Oct. 23, for all who participated.

To participate, visit www.beaufortnc.org or contact Lauren Hermley at 728-2141 or l.hermley@beaufortnc.org.
