Administrative Support Specialist
LOCATION: Beaufort, NC
SALARY: $32,673-$48,270 DOE
DUTIES: The Town of Beaufort is currently accepting applications for the position of Administrative Support Specialist at the Beaufort Police Department. The duties for this position include, but are not limited to the following:
This position serves as the primary point of contact between the Police Department and the public.
- Performs administrative duties such as processing police reports, accounts receivable/payable, records management, file maintenance, and other administrative duties.
- Responds to general inquiries and provides routine information to the public.
- Operate standard office equipment including printers, copier/scanner/fax, personal computers, and centralized telephone equipment.
REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite and have experience in utilizing records management software. Preference will be given to candidates with experience as a DCI (Division of Criminal Information) operator, 911 communicator/dispatcher or have prior public safety experience.Applicants must be able to work 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday – Friday.
