The Town of Beaufort Board of Adjustment has cancelled their meeting for Monday, September 25, 2017 as there are no items for the Board. The next meeting is scheduled for October 23, 2017 (items should be submitted to Town Hall no later than October 2, 2017).

Submitted items for a Board of Adjustment meeting are due three (3) weeks prior to a scheduled meeting (see Meeting Calendar).  All material for the meeting should be presented to Town Hall by 5:00 PM on the submission date(s) found on the calendar mentioned above. Incomplete applications will not be processed and will be returned to the applicant. Electronic versions of materials may be emailed to k.garner@beaufortnc.org.

Application forms for the Board include: 

  • Variance Request
  • Appeals (there is no form however an appeal can be made for any final order, decision, requirement, or determination of a Town official charged with the enforcement of the Land Development Ordinance. An appeal is taken by filing a written notice specifying the grounds for which the appeal is necessary. An appeal must be made within 30 days after the date the decision or order is made.
  • Interpretations to the Town's official Zoning map form
