NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON REQUEST FOR ANNEXATION
The public will take notice that the Board of Commissioners of the town of Beaufort has called a public hearing at 6:00 P.M. on Monday, August 9, 2010 at the Train Depot located at 614 Broad Street, Beaufort, NC on the question of annexing the following described territory, requested by petition filed pursuant to G.S. 160A-31:
Beginning at Verna Gibbs Southeast corner in the West line of US Highway 70, said point being N 33-40 E, 40.4 feet fron the Southwest corner of Tract No 1, of the Gibbs Division; thence N 54-30 W 223.6 feet; thence N 36-20 E 64.0 feet; thenseS 55-30 E 223.5 feet to the west line of US Highway 70; thence with said Highway line S 36-10 W, 67.9 feet to the point of beginning.
