The Beaufort Police Department is working on Front Street parking improvements.  Currently we are working with a parking committee comprised of citizens, business owners, and event planners.  The parking committee hopes to have some short range goals and objectives completed prior to tourist returning to Beaufort this spring in order to make parking in the business district easier for all citizens.

The Beaufort Board of Commissioners and the Police Department are asking for volunteers to work this summer in the downtown area of Beaufort.  This team of “Beaufort Ambassadors” will assist visitors with information regarding parking, local businesses, special events, and general information.  If you are interested in volunteering and being a Beaufort Ambassador please contact Melissa Oden at the Police Department for further information (252-728-5112).
