The fire department enjoys continued success in its fire prevention, public education and other outreach/awareness programs.  Children Pre-K through sixth grade Learn Not To Burn through our comprehensive fire safety programs.  The fire department staff visits local schools and childcare centers during Fire Prevention Week.  However, many children still enjoy visiting the fire station where they tour the facilities, learn about the fire trucks, and of course who doesn't like spending time with everyone's favorite fire dog SPARKY.  Each child is given literature with fire safety tips, coloring books, crayons and an official red plastic fire chief’s helmet for them to take home.

Fire Extinguisher Classes
Additionally, the fire department offers Fire Extinguisher classes for local organizations, such as Child Care Centers.  Please contact our Department if your organization requires a class.
