NCDOT Proposed Roundabout Meeting Rescheduled

NCDOT TO HOST A PUBLIC MEETING MAY 10 FOR THE PROPOSED ROUNDABOUT AT THE INTERSECTION OF US 70 (LIVE OAK STREET) AND NC 101
STIP Project No. U-6058
The N.C. Department of Transportation is proposing a roundabout at the intersection of US 70 (Live Oak Street) and NC 101. The project was submitted to the STIP by the Down East Regional Planning Organization (DERPO). The intersection is within the Town of Beaufort limits in Carteret County. The NCDOT has developed a design concept for the project.
A public meeting will be held at the Beaufort Train Depot located at 614 Broad St, in Beaufort, NC. The meeting will be Thursday, May 10, 2018.
The purpose of this meeting is to inform the public of the project and gather public input on the proposed design. The proposed design will also be available on the project website for public review and comment.
Interested citizens may attend at any time Thursday, May 10, 2018 between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Please note that there will not be a formal presentation. NCDOT representatives will display maps and be available to answer questions and receive comments. Comments and information received will be taken into consideration as work on the project develops. Written comments or questions can also be submitted at the meeting or later by April 30th, 2018.
